Hunt Transportation Patriot Fleet Joins Crete Carrier Ranks

The Patriot Fleet has just gotten bigger. On July 1, Hunt Transportation Patriot Fleet inducted five new drivers to join the Crete Carrier Patriot Fleet ranks. These are the first Hunt drivers to be inducted into the Patriot Fleet, and they bring the total number of Patriot Fleet trucks on the road to 20!

The event was held at Hunt’s headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, and the State of Nebraska Department of Veteran Affairs Deputy Director John McNally was on hand to help us honor our veteran drivers. McNally said, “We recognize that your service in the military carries on to your service to our economy and to the people of the United States. We understand that transportation is the backbone of our economy.” McNally went on to explain the importance of the freshly wrapped Patriot Fleet trucks. He said, “These vehicles behind us are very special. As someone with kids, I can tell you that they love this stuff. When they see this, and they start asking questions, we have the opportunity to tell them that we are veterans and that the symbols you see here represent our service and sacrifice to our country.”

Hunt Transportation President Mark Swanson and Fleet Manager Dave Galley went on to award the five drivers with the keys to their new trucks. Swanson said, “The selection of the drivers was not an easy choice. We based our selection on years of military service, years of service to Hunt, and safety records.”
