Indianapolis Terminal Renovation Construction Begins

Terminal to be updated

Crete Carrier Corporation opened the doors to its new Indianapolis location on January, 28, 2011. The terminal, located on the west side of Indianapolis, sits next to Interstate 465 and Sam Jones Expressway, and can be accessed using Sam Jones Expressway west to Executive Drive or Lynhurst Drive. The physical address is 5730 Fortune Circle West Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana.

At the time of purchase the new facility had limited driver amenities, however, after months of planning the renovation has started on the interior of the building to have a driver training room, driver restrooms, showers, laundry, lunch room and bunk rooms. Along with the renovation, the hardsurface parking lot will be resurfaced. The anticipated completion of the project is March 1, 2012.

The terminal is built on 6 acres of fenced land and includes an office and tractor/trailer shop. The building itself is 30,000 square feet, and the shop has 10 drive thru bays. There is plenty of hardsurface, lighted parking.

“The remodeling of the Indianapolis terminal is part of our continued upgrading and investment in Crete Carrier, Shaffer Trucking, and Hunt Transportation terminals. This upgrade will bring an excellent facility for the personal needs of all our drivers,” says Kerry Kearl, Vice President Company Fleets of Crete Carrier Corporation.
