New Indianapolis Terminal Opens

Lincoln, NE (January 28, 2011) — Crete Carrier Corporation opened the doors to its new Indianapolis, Indiana, terminal January, 28, 2011. The terminal, located on the west side of Indianapolis, sits next to Interstate 465 and Sam Jones Expressway, and can be accessed using Sam Jones Expressway west to Executive Drive or Lynhurst Drive. The physical address is 5730 Fortune Circle West Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana.

The terminal is built on 6 acres of fenced land and includes an office and tractor/trailer shop. The building itself is 30,000 square feet, and the shop has 10 drive thru bays. There is plenty of hardsurface, lighted parking. At the present time the new facility has limited driver amenities, however, Crete Carrier is in the planning stages of renovating the interior of the building to have a driver training room, driver restrooms, showers, laundry, lunch room and bunk rooms. Along with the renovation, the hardsurface parking lot will be resurfaced. Work is planned to be complete by the end of summer 2011.

“The new facility is a great location for access to and from Interstate 465 and 70 on the west side of Indianapolis. There are plenty of parking spaces with ample room to move around the property. The purchase and remodeling of the Indianapolis terminal is part of our continued upgrading and investment in Crete Carrier, Shaffer Trucking, and Hunt Transportation terminals,” says Karel Znamenacek, Executive Vice President of Crete Carrier Corporation.
