November 4th was the grand opening of the new Crete Carrier Knoxville, TN terminal! There were many people that attended the grand opening and the event was a great success. The Knoxville News Sentinel published are article about the new terminal quoting Morris Sims, a 28 year employee of Crete Carrier, saying “This is the Taj Mahal of terminals.”
The terminal is built on 26 acres of fenced land and includes an office, driver center, tractor/trailer shop, technician lounge, and training room. It also has a separate facility for a truck wash, and a fuel island with an inspection lane. Included in the 26 acres is 15 acres of hard surface parking space which will accommodate lots of space for future fleet growth.
The Roane Alliance, Roane County’s economic development organization, posted 54 pictures from the grand opening event and we’ve post a few of those pictures below.
