Crete Carrier Corporation offers tuition reimbursement for employees pursuing additional education which is directly related to an employee’s job or potential advancement with the company. Employees must apply for the program and if approved they may receive up to 100% of reimbursable costs, depending on the grade received in the course and other factors.
Dependents who attend the University of Nebraska or Southeast Community College may apply for scholarships awarded annually.
Paid Time Off
Paid Time Off (PTO) allows eligible employees to take time off with pay for vacation, personal time, illness, medical appointments, or to care for dependents.
Regular full-time employees are eligible for PTO and may use PTO at the discretion of their supervisor. Upon hire employees receive 8 hours of PTO; and accrue an additional 24 hours after 3 months and 6 months. Employees receive 88 hours of PTO at their one-year anniversary. After years 2 thru 4 employees receive up to 128 hours of PTO, years 5 thru 9 receive up to 144 hours of PTO, and employees with 10+ years receive up to 168 hours of PTO. The annual accrual depends on the amount of PTO carried over from the previous year. Employees may not accrue more than 240 total hours of PTO for any single year.
PTO should be scheduled in advance and approved by an employee’s supervisor except in cases of illness or emergencies.
