Tim shared some great news from the Nebraska Trucking Association Fall Conference:
Congratulations to Jeff Girdner for winning the Dispatcher of the Year and to Lori Hansson for Safety Director of the Year awards from the Nebraska Trucking Association.
Jeff has been in trucking for over 40 years, with almost all that time as part of the Crete Family. Jeff is known for his dedication to each one of his drivers, getting to know them personally and working hard to make every load their best load. Jeff is professional, caring and truly lives our Seven Principles. Thank you Jeff!
Lori has been in the Safety Department at Crete for almost 35 years. She has led our Compliance team through many changes throughout that time, including transitioning from paper to electronic logs and starting an industry leading sleep apnea program. Lori and her team have been pivotal in our obtaining and maintaining one of the best Hours of Service CSA scores among our peers. Thank you Lori!
Finally, the NTA recognized the entire Crete/Shaffer Family with its 2023 Spirit Award. The Spirit Award recognized our long term commitment to the NTA and trucking in Nebraska and across the nation. Thank you to all who have participated in NTA activities over the years. Most importantly, congratulations and thank you for living out our Principle #5, making us the Best Trucking Company!
